# The ANC’s National Executive Committee has approved the rules and guidelines for the candidate selection process for next year’s local government elections. These guidelines outline the minimum requirements ANC members must meet to qualify for seats in municipal councils across the country. At least 70-percent of the candidates must have prior experience in any sphere of government.
