Des van Rooyen appointed as the MK Party’s new chief whip in Parliament

# The MK Party has appointed former Finance minister Des van Rooyen as its new chief whip in Parliament. He is taking over the reins from Colleen Makhubele, who was appointed to the position in May this year. The MK Party has described Van Rooyen as a seasoned cadre of the liberation movement who brings extensive academic, political, as well as governance experience. The party adds it has full confidence that under his stewardship its caucus will be strengthened, disciplined, and more strategically aligned with its mission.
