# Justice and Constitutional Development deputy minister, Andries Nel, has warned South Africans about human trafficking linked to fraudulent overseas job offers, following reports of potential victims in Myanmar. Nel says through the National Inter-Sectoral Committee on Trafficking in Persons, the Department coordinates awareness campaigns, training, and workshops to prevent trafficking. Nel urged caution when responding to online job ads, advising verification through official channels and reporting suspicious cases to the Human Trafficking. He emphasises that awareness remains the first line of defence against exploitation.
