# ActionSA has welcomed the news that the South African Revenue Service has exceeded its mid-fiscal year tax collection revenue estimate by 18-billion-rand. For the first half of the 2025/2026 fiscal year, SARS collected a net amount of 925-billion-rand, while the initial estimate for the period was 907-billion-rand. ActionSA’s spokesperson, Matthew George, says the party has been a leading voice in Parliament demanding that SARS receive the necessary resources to rebuild capacity:
