# The National Consumer Commission has confirmed recalls from BMW South Africa and Stellantis. BMW is recalling 75 BMW 1 and 2 Series, X1, and X2 vehicles sold in 2025 due to faulty seat belts that may fail during severe braking or rollovers. Stellantis is recalling Opel Astra models made between 2004 and 2015 over airbag inflator defects that could cause serious injury or death. Acting Commissioner Hardin Ratshisusu urges affected consumers to contact dealerships immediately.
