# Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment minister, Dion George, has commended the public for reporting a recreational fisher using a drone at Strandfontein. The operation, carried out by Fishery Control Officers and the City of Cape Town Marine Unit, resulted in the confiscation of the drone and the fisher facing prosecution under the Marine Living Resources Act. George says the arrest shows a zero-tolerance approach and highlights the importance of public help in protecting marine life.
