Cruise season expected to boost Nelson Mandela Bay economy by R120-million

# The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has officially launched the 2025/26 cruise season with the arrival of the Mein Schiff 4 at the Port of Port Elizabeth. Mayor Babalwa Lobishe and Ports manager Pamela Yoyo say the cruise season is expected to inject 120-million-rand into the local economy. This is through 25 cruise liner visits, including nine overnight stays bringing over 40-thousand passengers. Lobishe and Yoyo say the cruise season will strengthen tourism, create jobs, and showcase the city’s vibrant culture and hospitality.
