UDM concerned about the escalation of spending on water-tanker services by municipalities [SOUND]

# The UDM has written to the Parliament’s standing committee on Public Accounts, to urgently address the escalation of spending on water-tanker services by municipalities. The City of Tshwane has come under fire over the 777-million-rand reportedly spent on water tankers during the financial year ending June 2025. UDM’s Thandi Nontenja says they is growing evidence of systemic abuse, corruption, and sabotage of water infrastructure associated with contracts by water-tanker mafias:
