# The trial of the alleged killers of Hillary Gardee, daughter of EFF deputy president Godrich Gardee, resumes today at the High Court in Mbombela. Gardee’s body was found near Lydenburg in April 2022. Convicted murderer, Rassie Nkuna, stands accused of her murder and defeating the ends of justice. The case had been provisionally withdrawn in April 2023 due to the unavailability of key witnesses, but it was revived earlier this year. The Gardee family has urged the National Prosecuting Authority to ensure justice without any further delays.
