# Eskom says it is planning to return a total of three-thousand-380-megawatts of generation capacity to service ahead of the evening peak today, and throughout the coming week. This is to further strengthen the stability of the electricity grid. The power utility’s spokesperson, Daphne Mokwena, says between 3 and 9 October, an average of ten-thousand-835-megawatts in unplanned outages was recorded, a significant improvement compared to the 11-thousand-920-megawatts during the same period last year:
