# The Special Investigating Unit has taken over and seized three multi-million-rand Lamborghinis, designer furniture, and valuable artworks from tenderpreneur Hangwani Maumela’s three story Sandhurst mansion in Sandton. The seizures form part of an 820-million-rand asset recovery linked to alleged coordinated syndicate looting at Tembisa Hospital. Maumela allegedly benefited through 41 companies awarded government tenders. Freezing orders are already in place on his properties in KwaZulu-Natal, Cape Town and bank accounts nationwide. Officials say today’s raid continues the ongoing campaign against public sector corruption.
