# National police commissioner, Fannie Masemola is warning unruly community members, especially those who disregard the blue uniform, that the police will not tolerate attacks on its members. Police spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe says this follows the video circulating on social media of a female police officer who was assaulted while performing her lawful duties in Kimberley, in the Northern Cape. She says anyone who tries to stop police officers in carrying out their mandate in preventing and combating crime, will be met with the full might of the law.
