# International Relations and Cooperation minister Ronald Lamola says the UN General Assembly’s central role in global governance must be strengthened to empower member states. Speaking at the 22nd Nordic-Africa Foreign Ministers Meeting in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, Lamola emphasised the need for reform of the Security Council in line with the Ezulwini Consensus. He also called for fairer global financial systems to ensure Africa benefits more from disaster resilience funding:
