# Crime Intelligence head, Dumisani Khumalo, disputes claims that the political killings task team was created as a result of the Moerane commission’s recommendations. Speaking at the Madlanga commission in Pretoria, Khumalo said the task team was established administratively by then national police commissioner, Khehla John Sitole, in advance of the commission’s investigations.
