SAPS warns public about vishing scam using its name and logo [SOUND]

# The South African Police Service is warning the public about a phishing scam misusing its name and logo. Spokesperson Amanda van Wyk says fraudsters send fake letters, WhatsApp messages, and intimidating calls, sometimes claiming non-existent cases or police stations, to extract money or personal information. Van Wyk reminds citizens that the police will never demand payment or communicate via WhatsApp or video calls. She urges the public not to share personal details or respond to suspicious messages:
