# Embattled Stellenbosch Municipality Human Resources manager, Alexander Kannemeyer, has resigned from his acting role as corporate services director. He faced criticism earlier this month after a video clip in which he allegedly said top-scoring white job candidates should be frustrated so they eventually resign. Kannemeyer is still employed as the resources manager of the municipality. DA spokesperson, Willie Aucamp, told News24 that by resigning, Kannemeyer has side-stepped the municipal council’s attempts to legally suspend him. He adds that they still want the matter investigated.
