Mercedes-Benz SA recalls 102 vehicles over steering defect

# The National Consumer Commission has announced that Mercedes-Benz South Africa is recalling 102 vehicles, including four EQE-295 and ninety-eight GLC-254 models made between 2022 and 2025. The recall addresses a potential steering coupling issue, which could loosen over time and cause loss of vehicle steerability, increasing accident risk. Consumers are urged to contact authorised dealerships for inspection, repair, or replacement. The commission emphasises acting promptly to ensure safety and compliance with the Consumer Protection Act.
