DA supports committee chairperson’s concerns on R813-million soldier allowance [SOUND]

# The DA says it supports Parliament’s portfolio committee on Defence and Military Veterans chairperson, Dakota Legoete’s concerns over the welfare of South African National Defence Force members. This comes as 813-million-rand meant for soldier allowances remains unaccounted for, with funds diverted elsewhere. The DA’s Nicholas Gotsell says they welcome Legoete’s call for urgent action over the non-payment of allowances to SANDF members deployed to the Democratic Republic of Congo under Operation Thiba:
