# Johannesburg mayor Dada Morero says the current water challenges gripping the metro are being dealt with speed. This comes amid erratic water supply across many parts of the metro, with the latest leading to a four-day protest in the Westbury area. The mayor visited the Alexandra Reservoir yesterday, one of the hardest-hit facilities, where he admitted that burst pipes and illegal connections continued to drain the system. Morero says reservoir levels need to be kept at 50-percent to enable a stable supply:
