# The DA in the Western Cape has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting farmers with reliable veterinary services and export-ready quality assurance. The DA’s Noko Masipa says during the refurbishment of the Provincial Veterinary Laboratory, the Department of Agriculture achieved only 80-percent of its targets. He says this period of refurbishment coincided with increased demand for South African meat products, a demand that was successfully met without compromising quality or safety:
