# Transport minister Barbara Creecy and deputy minister Mkhuleko Hlengwa have raised concerns over the rising crashes involving learners, saying the National Road Safety Strategy review will prioritise scholar transport. This follows the death of five learners after a minibus ploughed into a pre-school building in Imbali Township, Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal yesterday. Five others remain in the hospital. The department says that the Road Traffic Management Corporation and KZN Traffic Authorities are investigating, with a preliminary report expected within 48 hours.
