EFF is calling for humane, lawful, and just treatment of immigrants [SOUND]

# The EFF says it supports the Immigration Amendment Bill, as there is a need to protect the rights of all people regardless of their immigration status. The Bill, which, amongst other things, will ensure that detained foreigners receive timely judicial review and legal protection, was passed in the National Assembly yesterday. The EFF’s Suzan Thembekwayo says the government has failed to secure borders, adequately fund the Border Management Authority, and protect undocumented migrants from exploitation by employers:
