DA probes child pregnancy crisis [SOUND]

# The DA has launched a national investigation into the alarming rise in child pregnancies in South Africa. The probe will assess how provincial departments implement the Children’s Act to ensure perpetrators of statutory rape are prosecuted. In the Eastern Cape alone, 117 girl children between 10 and 14 years gave birth between April and July this year. The DA’s Alexandra Abrahams says they want answers on reporting, investigations, training, and police referrals:
