Forestry SA says more forestry conservation efforts are needed [SOUND]

# Forestry South Africa says planted forests play a vital role in protecting the country’s indigenous tree species. South Africa has around 1.2-million hectares of commercial timber plantations across Limpopo, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape and Western Cape. FSA’s Research and Protection director, Ronald Heath, says people can no longer rely on designated conservation areas alone to protect biodiversity, as every landowner has a responsibility:
