KZN MEC warns cable theft is economic sabotage, disrupting services and businesses [SOUND]

# KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Thulasizwe Buthelezi, says cable theft is economic sabotage that disrupts services and businesses. Buthelezi welcomed the arrest of eight people in Mid-Illovo yesterday for copper cables worth about two-million-rand, stolen from Transnet, the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa, and the eThekwini Metro. The department’s Senzelwe Mzila urged the public to report suspicious activity to help protect infrastructure:
