SANDF denies chief Maphwanya is defying minister Motshekga’s orders [SOUND]

# The South African National Defence Force has rejected allegations that Chief General Rudzani Maphwanya is defiant towards the minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Angie Motshekga. According to the City Press, Maphwanya vowed to continue defying the minister’s order to reinstate Colonel Eugene Motati. He was unlawfully dismissed in September 2019, on untested sexual harassment allegations by an SABC journalist. The minister’s order was in line with the Military Ombudsman’s findings.
