# The Amy Foundation will today honour the life and legacy of Amy Biehl, the 26-year-old American Fulbright scholar killed in Gugulethu on 25 August 1993. Amy’s mother Linda Biehl and Ntombeki Peni—once convicted for her death, now a leader in the foundation, will lay flowers at her memorial site. Since 1998, the foundation has empowered over 12-thousand young people with skills and opportunity.
