Mayibuye iAfrika slams education system, calls for practical skills [SOUND]

# Mayibuye iAfrika’s Floyd Shivambu says South Africa’s education system is in crisis, producing matriculants without practical skills. Speaking to KwaZulu-Natal volunteers in eThekwini during the Mayibuye Consultation Process, Shivambu argued that learners should leave school with tangible skills including bricklaying, and other trades to empower them for real-life opportunities. He says Mayibuye iAfrika will push for reforms to ensure education equips young people with practical tools to build sustainable futures:
