GOOD Party says quarterly labour stats root women of colour to the bottom rung [SOUND]

# The GOOD Party says it should shock all South Africans that three decades into democracy, the face of poverty in South Africa remains that of a woman of colour. Statistics South Africa revealed that the national unemployment rate for women in the second quarter of this year stands at 35.9-percent. GOOD secretary-general, Brett Herron, says according to stats, Black African women face an unemployment rate of 40.2-percent while women of colour hold only 6.8-percent of managerial positions:
