Limpopo jobs crisis deepens as unemployment rises

# The DA in Limpopo has expressed concern over the second quarter unemployment rate rising to 35-percent, higher than the national rate of 33.2-percent. The expanded rate, including discouraged job seekers, remains at 43.8-percent, showing structural economic challenges. The DA’s Jacques Smalle says the DA urges the provincial government to implement its Plan to Turbocharge the Economy, emphasising governance reform, infrastructure investment, private-sector growth, and crime reduction. Limpopo’s reliance on agriculture, public sector jobs, and informal trade leaves it vulnerable without urgent action.
