# The National E-Hailing Federation is calling for urgent government intervention to accelerate e-hailing regulations and empower drivers. The federation is currently engaged in dialogue with the relevant stakeholders to develop a national empowerment framework for e-hailing drivers. The federation’s secretary-general, Omar Parker, says 91-percent of operators and drivers are unregistered with statutory labour entities such as the Unemployment Insurance Fund and the Compensation Fund:
