Over 600,000 online applications recorded for Grade 1 and 8 in Gauteng [SOUND]

# The Gauteng Education Department says over 600-thousand successful applications were recorded during the 2026 online admissions application period for grade 1 and grade 8. This milestone was reached yesterday, just less than two weeks after the system opened for applications on July 24th. The application period closes on the 29th of this month.
