# Deputy president Paul Mashatile says government must clean with the people, not for them. Spearheading a clean-up campaign in Mangaung, Free State, to promote a cleaner lifestyles, Mashatile called for collaboration to enhance the municipality’s cleanliness. The 2023 World Air Quality Report ranked Bloemfontein as the second worst city for air quality. He said that the campaign plans to include schools to instill a culture of cleanliness:
