# The Gauteng Agriculture Department has allocated its Veterinary Services 104-million-rand to bolster support for animal health and biosecurity in the province. This is in the wake of the foot-and-mouth disease outbreak in the country. At least 32 active cases have been reported in Gauteng. Agriculture MEC Vuyiswa Ramogopa says the province’s foot-and-mouth disease vaccination programme has been quite comprehensive:
