Soccer: Banyana sneak into semifinals after Senegal win

# Soccer: South Africa last night defeated Senegal 4-1 on penalties in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Group quarterfinal match at the Honneur Stadium in Oujda, Morocco.  Following 120 minutes of goalless football, Andile Dlamini rose to the occasion for Desiree Ellis’ side as she saved two spot-kicks, while Karabo Dhlamini, Tiisetso Makhubela, Gabriela Salgado and Bambanani Mbane all held their nerve to clinch victory in the shootout. Banyana Banyana have now progressed to the semifinals, where they will take on nine-time African champions Nigeria on Tuesday. The other semifinal match will feature hosts Morocco and Ghana on Tuesday.
