Musina-Makhado communities against plans for a ferrochrome and alloys smelting plant [SOUND]

# Residents and indigenous communities in the Musina-Makhado area have rejected a proposed ferrochrome and alloys smelting plant within Limpopo’s contentious Musina-Makhado Special Economic Zone. They are concerned that the project will devastate local water sources, kill culturally significant indigenous trees, and generate harmful air pollution. Earthlife Africa’s Thabo Sibeko says, despite environmental protection, officials have proceeded with an Environmental Impact Assessment:
