Clothing and general dealers push may retail sales up by over 4% [SOUND]

# According to Statistics South Africa, retail trade sales rose by 4.2-percent in May compared to the same time last year. The increase was mainly driven by strong performance from clothing, footwear and leather goods retailers, which grew by 12.5-percent, and general dealers, which rose by 3.6-percent. Stats SA’s Raquel Floris says hardware and other retailers saw small increases:
