# Sport, Arts and Culture minister Gayton McKenzie says museums are entering the digital age to attract a new generation. Presenting the 2025/26 budget, McKenzie announced a revamp of Robben Island, with new better transport to the Island, heritage statues, and a wall of fame. In addition, the minister set aside 1.7-billion-rand for arts promotion, alongside 315-million-rand for an employment stimulus. He also stressed urgency in fixing creative sector challenges:
