# Athletics: The Commission for Gender Equality has noted the European Court of Human Rights ruling in favour of double 800-metre Olympic champion Caster Semenya. The court found that the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland discriminated against Semenya due to her natural testosterone levels, violating her rights to privacy, non-discrimination, and legal protection. Semenya was barred in 2019 under World Athletics’ regulations. The Commission says it will release a formal statement on its position in due course.
