# The ANC has called on president Cyril Ramaphosa to urgently address the leadership crisis within the South African Police Service, following explosive allegations made by KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi. The ANC says the allegations threaten the integrity of law enforcement and the criminal justice system. ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula told the media the rule of law must prevail above any political or institutional abuse of power:
