DA Western Cape says conservation report shows increase in protected areas amid threats to biodiversity [SOUND]

# The DA in the Western Cape has welcomed the release of the 2025 State of Conservation Report by CapeNature. The party says the report highlights urgent concerns, with over 30-percent of ecosystems in the province critically endangered, including coastal marine, freshwater, terrestrial, and estuarine systems. The DA’s Dave Bryant says 16-percent of all indigenous species, including vegetation and animals, are currently under threat:
