# The Ministry of Human Settlements has outlined bold plans for the next five years, including building over 237-thousand new homes, upgrading over four-thousand informal settlements, and issuing 80-thousand title deeds. Thirty-four-billion-rand has been allocated for the 2025/2026 financial year, with most going to provinces and metros. Minister Thembi Simelane told the media that a digital system is also being developed to improve service delivery and transparency:
