Skills development is key to South Africa’s renewable energy future [SOUND]

# Electricity and Energy deputy minister, Samantha Graham-Maré, says skills development is vital to the South African Renewable Energy Masterplan. Graham-Maré says the plan aims to create 25-thousand jobs by 2030 through industrialisation and training. The minister says a key initiative is the Energy and Water Sector Education Training Authority’s PowerUp platform, developed with GreenCape and UK PACT, which links education and industry to tackle skills gaps:
