# Learners at Isipingo Hills Primary School in KwaZulu-Natal recently learnt the value of nurturing the earth and the dangers of plastic pollution. This was part of a partnership between the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa, and eThekwini Municipality’s Cleansing and Solid Waste Department. Activities included planting a vegetable garden, waste separation demonstrations, and recycling education. South Africa produces nearly 2.5-million tons of plastic a year.
