# Western Cape MEC for Infrastructure, Tertuis Simmers, says good progress is being made on the 520-million-rand Louis Fourie Road upgrade in Mossel Bay. The largest provincial road investment in the Garden Route District is now 66-percent complete and on track to finish by mid-next year. Key milestones include the opening of new N2 on- and off-ramps and the Gericke Road Link, which have eased traffic congestion. Simmers thanked residents for their patience:
