# Minister of Human Settlements, Thembi Simelane, will from today embark on a three-day visit to the Eastern Cape following floods which claimed the lives of 90 people. The minister will meet with the provincial and municipal leadership to deliberate on the necessary response, required interventions and work that has been done to assist flood victims. The ministry’s spokesperson, Tsekiso Machike, says nearly three-thousand households have been affected:
