# The NPA’s application for leave to appeal against the Free State High Court’s ruling that former Ace Magashule’s personal assistant, Moroadi Cholota’s extradition from the US was unlawful, has been dismissed. Judge Phillip Loubser found the extradition process deficient and outside the court’s jurisdiction. With no appeal permission granted, Cholota cannot be returned to face corruption charges linked to the asbestos tender. The NPA is now exploring alternative legal options to proceed with the case. It will have to petition the Supreme Court of Appeal to appeal the extradition judgment.
