# The National Assembly has passed the 2025 fiscal framework and revenue proposals, with 268 members of Parliament voting in favour and 88 against. The ANC led the support with 145 votes, followed by the DA with 80. The MK Party and EFF voted against it, while Build One South Africa abstained. Finance minister Enoch Godongwana said the budget is not about austerity but increasing spending to fund social services and promoting sustainable growth:
