# Cricket: Plans to hold a European T20 franchise tournament in July have been pushed back to 2026. The European T20 Premier League, partly owned by Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, was set to feature teams from Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands, and played in cities including Dublin, Glasgow, Amsterdam, and Rotterdam. According to reports, the delay of the start of the tournament is largely due to three prospective franchise owners shifting their focus to finalising stake acquisitions in The Hundred, England’s city-based cricket competition.
