# The Pumas captured their first South African Cup title when they defeated Griquas in Saturday’s final at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit. They dominated from the beginning after Griquas’ front-row forward Cebo Dlamini, received a 20-minute red card in the seventh minute after a head-on-head tackle. The home team scored barely a minute later, leaving Griquas on the backfoot for the rest of the match. They led 19-7 at halftime and finished the match with a convincing 39-14 victory. This was the second year of the tournament which Griquas won last year.
